Objectives and Motivation

Internet of things (IoT) is now shaping the technology around the world. It is emerging different systems and new platforms in terms of software and hardware.  For instance, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) play a crucial rule in the IoT systems in which it is the core of the smart data collection process.  Could Computing (CC) is another technology that is already in place representing the needed backbone to scale billions of connected objects.   Vehicle ad hoc networks as well as mobile technologies are other networks that are emerging along with the IoT.   At the top of these networks, Intelligence is required for autonomous connectivity and IoT systems smart actions.  IoT generates hug heterogeneous data that it falls under the concept of Big Data. Big data could be defined as “ huge volume of unstructured data that cannot be stored and/or handled using the traditional  data storage and handling techniques”.

This special session is a vehicle for researchers to present the state-of-the-art contribution in the field of IoT and Cloud Computing.
